Lange Fluid 100 Question

I'm about to jump the gun and buy a pair of these online, but I'm unsure if I should get a size 27 or 27.5 (my understanding is that the shell is the same anyway)

My feet measure 271mm, I usually wear a size 10.5US shoe. According to Lange's sizing chart I should get a size 28, but I think that this is too big.

Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks.

BTW, I should add that I currently have a pair of Salomon Mission in 28 (two seasons old) and they feel somewhat loose. I'm just not sure how Lange boots are sized.

Thanks.

I'd also consider doing some custom work on the new boots in the future.

If you don't know exactly what model/size you want, buying boots online is a big mistake. The only way to find out exactly, is to do a shell check on the exact model and size you are considering.

I have actually already spoken to the seller and I can return them at a minimum cost. I just want to try to get it right the first time if at all.

Based on my Salamon's and some other boot's I've tried on, I'm pretty sure that a 27.0 shell is right for me. Just not sure if I should go with a 27.0 or 27.5 liner.

both liners will pack out to the same size after a few days.

overall doesn't matter

mntlion, I appreciate your response and value your knowledge.

I also found this thread and found your approach really helpful. http://forums.epicski.com/showthread.php?t=66846

I'll be getting a pair of 27.0 to try, I'll let you know how it goes.
