*Anyone buy from Al's Ski Barn?*

Hi everyone,
I am wanting to by the K2 Disorderly skis from Al's Ski Barn because they are $40 cheaper than any other online store.
Has anyone made any purchases from this site before?
I want to know this because if I do buy skis from this site, I don't want them to be fake.
I'm probably just being paranoid but I want to make sure.
Their website address is Alsskibarn.com or Untracked.com (either leads to same site).

Thanks,
Nik

They are absolutely great. Super knowledgeable. Super reliable. Great shop work too - the only major online shop I trust to do mounting, etc. Also my experience has been that they are great at giving guidance regarding mounting, etc for skis where there are decisions to be made...

BTW - I'm not saying that no one else out is capable of doing good work. Just that I have found Als/Untracked to be extraordinarily solid. Virtually all my family's ski specialty buys are from my local shop (Gerks) or Als.

I have only heard good things.

Fear not.Al's the real deal and offers quality service to go along with great prices on some hard to find items.

Cheap shipping and my last purchase arrived four days after I ordered it.

Are there really people out there making and selling FAKE skis?!? It sounds like you are saying there are knock-off's? Of skis?!? Or did you just mean fake as in a scam where nothing really exists at all?

Are you sure? Because when I hear (think) knock-off, I think like fake Oakley Sunglasses, or fake Gucci Handbags or something. Are you saying that there are FAKE K2 skis that are being made somewhere and then sold?!?

Most of my skis are shipped oversea from AL. Actually they even charge less on shipping. Perhaps they have a contract with the courier.

bought poles and a ski bag from them earlier this year. fast shipping and great prices. no complaints.

Seriously, who would fake a K2? Some of their skis are already considered fakes

Al's ski barn is reliable, products sold as advertised. Plus you get an "untracked.com" sticker.......

Have bought at least six pairs of skis (one for me, five kids' skis in various sizes for my kids and my brother-in-law), and had bindings mounted. The only problem I encounted was my own, where I selected teh wrong size -- and even then, when I called them and told them what I did, they offered a discount on the right size. Excellent. They know their stuff at Al's.

So, I doubt you'll get KZ's there. Or Oakrey Flogskins.

I've never bought from Al, but I'd just like to go on record as saying the real Ski Barn is in Paramus.

Cereally, i bought some binders from Al's and a few other bits and peices. Good transactions.

Have bought 2 sets of skis there last year, easy to deal with, great company!

Als' is super dependable and trustworthy. Haven't really found them to be all that cheap, but if you're happy with the price I'd go for it.

That was my impression from web shopping...seemed like skis.com was a little cheaper, and I ended up buying from snowdealsnow.com on eBay for my own skis because they were even cheaper. I used skis.com for my daughter's and they were fine. I seem to remember that Al's offered more services and had a very useful website, though.
