Rather lengthy post over at TGR:

Lets all watch on Sunday and cheer this part time Bear on!! After what he's been through lately (stolen Bros for example), this guy deserves a podium

I saw that and have been following it.
IIRC the last we heard of him was when his van broke down and we donated to help him get his wheels back.

Someone posted about his stolen Bros earlier this week. I hope all goes well and he rocks the X-Games!

Go Andy!!!

Anybody know roughly what time (include time zone!) and ESPN channel it will be broadcast? I'll try to check it out.

Bump!

For the noobs that don't know who Andy is here's one of the coolest threads of last season. Check it out and you'll certainly want to see him on ESPN.

Living in a van..

Glad he's back out there and ready to rumble with the rest of the X-treme!

Well, considering he broke his leg it is unlikely he will be competing.

Yep I saw post last night at TGR from his girlfriend reporting his broken leg. Get well soon Andy!

That sucks, what happened? Can someone here give the short story free of TGR-isms?

Hope you recoup quick Andy. Let us know when you're back at it

Not entirely sure of the details, sounds like when the accident happened, he was not using his Bros and may have been on a "cheap slalom ski". He had already broken a few skis (BROS with massive amounts of metal and carbon fiber) and had made a comment along the lines of "any day I don't break a ski or a bone is a good day". He was complaining that the binding on his last ski he had only went to 20 if that gives you an idea of the force being put on his gear.

The course did not sound appropriate for sit skis at all, check his blog at THEANDYCAMPBELL.com to get updates from the past few days, where he talks about the size of one of the hits. I wouldn't be surprised if there aren't more injuries from today's race. A couple of days ago he said something about the high likelihood of getting hurt, he had a really hard fall one day and thought he had broken his back again.

Pretty sure it was on a large gap. It was in the qualifiers and a team from Warren Miller was there taping, I guess they've already told him the crash along with some other stuff is going to be in next year's movie. He did finish the run.

The TGR thread is actually very well behaved, everyone is really pulling for him. Worth a read, very inspiring.
