It's my always "go-to" place in PC.
++1 on this. Hit the nail on the head.
My group spends 2 days Canyons, 1 day PCMR. PCMR is good for beginners/family stuff, spread out but I really prefer the Canyons. The Canyons has the most skiiable acrage and most diverse terrain in PK City hands down, you can't compare any other to that place.
You could spend 3 days just skiing Canyons and exploring. Somebody said it is just weird..don't get that, it is spread out and has diverse terrain..the new Dreamscape is far out and interesting, many long groomer runs windy under road passes, pretty cool. You can grab a burger at the outdoor grill that is fantastic. Head over to the Super Condor..you got the infamous Cannus Lupus if you dare. Both those mentioned are at the far left/right of the trail map if you look at it online. Plus, there are places near each to grab a bite to eat for lunch or take a break and get some coffee/hot chocolate..warm up. Really can't go wrong...getting down is the hard part there though, easy way, Gondola right at Pine Lodge..hard way..well, there are two ways to get to that, and it gets ugly when it is icy..but it is something you have to do...ski your way back to the base..always an adventure and satisfying to end the day at The Canyons! Wow, can't wait until March when the gang heads out for our annual trip there.
Never been to Deer Valley for obvious reason, the rumors I hear are all true.
