I do a lot of running and I know from a podiatrist that fits running shoes (and some pressure pad measurements) that I overpronate on my right foot only. I use stability running shoes for long distance running but the over-pronation isn't bad enough to warrant full motion control shoes. I broke my right leg when I was five and I often wondered whether having it in cast at that age caused the problem.
Anyways, when I ski a couple of hours the balls of the my right foot start hurting and get numb. The pain is right at the ball of my foot and then along the ridge of bones to the small toe. My left foot feels great. I'm wondering whether the over pronation of my right foot could be causing me to put pressure on this area. Can anything be done about it?
The LSS has a guaranteed fit program, but I doubt it's too sophisticated. My other option is to find some free time and go to Lou's shop in Calgary. Any advice?
