I went backcountry skiing in Big Cottonwood Canyon yesterday and found variable conditions overall. Rime was falling and covering all the good pow with a micro layer. It was skiable but the powder was ruined. Still, it was better than not getting into the mountains at all. We did hear some coyotes yipping and the deer carcass they left behind right on the skin track. That was kinda' cool!
