That third photo with Dan and the group.  Wasn't that the Possible chute at Snowmass?

Though it looks like we're contemplating some groomer, that chute was short but very steep! Especially after lunch. We thought we were doing pretty well before lunch, then came upon that.  A true 'wake up' call. Another factor could've been that there was no massage after lunch at Snowmass unlike Aspen!

Tog, I think you may be right.

Phil/Nolo can correct me but I think that's where some guy decided to hop in right behind Phil and almost took him out. The chute was about a ski length wide and Styrofoam consistency up top.. softer as you got just past the narrowest part of the chute.

When Phil and I were the last two standing at the top, I think we both were thinking, "You go next!"

and so on and so on.

Yes, I think that was "Possible" (at least it was possible for Dan....). And that was definitely where that guy dropped in while Phil was still in the couloir and nearly assassinated him.

He mentioned that. He also mentioned seeing jaspain's life pass before him, as he put it, in Highland Bowl. That was right before bbinder lost it and as he was careening toward him Phil decided the best defense would be to sit on him. I wish I'd been there to see that.

Isn't the term someone used, "Highlands Bowl-ing"

It definitely was interesting.  I thought that chute was amongst the toughest things I've ever skied -- it really messed with your mind.  RidgeHippie certainly got the additional complication of the bozo dropping in right behind him -- the bozo's comment when he got down was "Wow -- that was the first double black I've skied in 5 years!"

I think he got the point after Dan told him it wasn't cool to drop in on top of somebody like that.  I was pretty convinced the bozo was going to take Phil out.

It was a beautiful maneuver, and I thought that I had paid Phil enough so that this would never get mentionned again...  OTOH, maybe the universe is trying to tell Phil not to ski chutes and bowls if there are any other people around.

I think there was something about, "damn! I was hoping one of the guys would bail so I could skip out" too

Don't listen to him! I think he skied that the best of all of us.  He knew where he wanted to make the turns without shopping the aisles like most of us.  Except Dan of course, who just sort of launched himself down the frozen food section.  All I saw was the first double pole plant and the air.  Gee, I guess there's no rocks in the middle, but how do I really know since his skis never touched it?

That's one of those runs I reski in my mind without hesitation and it's always smooth. There you don't have to actually look at it though!

Is lbt planing on breaking more teeth?

He already lost both teeth!

Wait, if he lost both, what's left? The other?
