What's for lunch today? - Page 6

Day off skiing.   Late brunch.  Porridge with sultanas and skim milk and poached eggs on bagels.   English breakfast tea and milo for the kids.

Oriental Flavor Ramen with a leftover salmon fillet is quite tasty!

That is all.

Isn't that a band name?

Ramen is the brand, oriental is the flavor.  They have different beef, chicken, shrimp, and pork flavors as well.

Actually, this amateur vid cuts right to the chase ("Pasta on the Mountain" by Leftover Salmon)

Hilarous!  Do they play a lot of covers or covered dishes?  :duck:

Those guys played on the rooftop of The Boneyard here in Park city a few weeks ago. They know their scales....

I'm planning a late lunch of "The Samples" at Costco :)

Much tastier than Big Head Todd, the other band that came out of my Boulder college days :D

lol. I much preferred the Subdudes to either, although they weren't exactly from CO -- they just moved here and then made it big.

Bob, you OK?

Did you think this was the what are you drinking right now thread or are you having a liquid lunch (not that there is anything wrong with that)?

I'm fine - now - thanks. But yesterday I had to do some drywall repair because someone else screwed up and I just 1) couldn't take time for even a sammich, and 2) was pissed off and couldn't face doing that kind of work completely sober. So, win/win. Besides, there's a lot of protein and vitamins in beer - you could probably live on it for a while.

As we used to say in college, there's food value in beer, but no beer value in food :-)

Flat keg beer and cold pizza was the weekend brunch more often than not.  Especially good if the beer was still kinda cool...

He couldn't have been too bad off, or it would have been

Yeah, and the drywall wouldn't have gotten fixed.

Fish, kale, blueberries, raspberries and an apple for lunch.

Salad with a grilled chicken breast tonight.  Eating right...ski season is just around the corner. :ski

Liquid lunch used to be so much more fun before turning fifty.  Green jello, broth, and apple juice..  And I get it again for dinner so they can do the nasty on me in the morning.  I can't wait until the kids get home tomorrow evening and I get to ask them to pull my finger over and over and over...

Stock photo, I got green jello.  No purple or red or they will think I am bleeding..

Japanese lunchbox. Nice and convenient.

Chicken fried steak is extra good after a day of hiking. Also, Shiner Bock.

Oh, and that yellow bit on the right is a culinary experiment - queso instead of gravy. biggrin.gif
