While watching a ski flik last night for the three thousanth time, my wife walks in and says "how many times can you watch that damn thing" this is her usual remark. I like watching these movies for the thrill it gives me, but I also use them as a learning tool. I've watched so many movies so many times that certain things have been imprinted in my brain. I believe that you can learn some techniques by watching these pros, its even better when they slo mo them. I always tell my wife that while she may have taught me to ski in the beginning, Warren Miller took me to the next level, TGR and MSP also. I can handle deep powder better due to this. I'm not saying that this is as good as formal instruction, but its a great way to see how its done on a very high level. Opinions?
