Fictional Ski Movie Outline

Film opens with a good looking young couple skiing on a sunny slope, then suddenly being struck by an avalanche and buried.
Later, a backcountry skier finds the remains of wolves and moose in avalanche debris, realizes that this is an unprecedented season, and himself has to outrun an avalanche, barely escaping.
He tries to warn the owners of the resort, and public officials, but they dismiss his concerns because a big holiday is coming, and they're more concerned about making money.
The climax involves a number of guests in a slopeside hotel, completely innocent of the danger, being trapped when an avalanche hits the building.
The protagonist helps dig them out, and they all start skiing down a logging road towards a nearby town.
In the final scene, they all have to outrun one final avalanche, which wipes out everything; lifts, towers, gondolas, lodges, etc.

I think that the young couple that gets buried should come back as zombies and terrorize everybody...eventually, they can eat the owners of the resort for being greedy.

Zombies that shred total gnar too! Chasing down folks all over the resort then taking them out and eating them. Also gotta be a scene where they bust up a rasta hut..

And it all happened because they harvested the ganja that was growing on the slopes, which held everything in place.

I don't see why Hollywood wouldn't buy that. Let these guys star in it:

Plot 1: Avalanche flips ski lodge upside down. A dozen trapped people have to dig their way up to the basement to get rescued.

Plot 2: An avalanche knocks over a utility pole causing a multi-story ski hotel to catch fire. People on roof have to be rescued.

Plot 3: An avalanche covers runway of major airport with snow. Damaged airliner has no place to land.

Plot 4: Avalanche causes change in gravity altering orbit of giant asteroid. Asteroid now headed toward earth; all life will surely be destroyed by impact.

Plot 5: Avalanche melt causes Lake Tahoe to be linked to Pacific ocean. Lake invaded by giant man-eating shark.

Plot 6: Avalanche causes volcano to erupt ...

Plot 7: Avalanche causes earthquake ...

Plot 8: Tornado lifts farm house from Kansas containing adolescent female and small dog and drops it on top of snowy mountain causing avalanche.

Bode Miller and Sean White are elected pres and vice pres.
They attend a "peace conference" on a mountain top at the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
It's an Al Qaeda ruse...the pair have to ski/board away at top speed in a desperate attempt to escape, with Bode weaving between isolated pairs of trees and Sean skying off a natural 20 mile long half pipe while dodging AK and RPG fire.
The bad guys trigger an avalanche with their weapons...they are swept away while our boys stay inches ahead of doom. Bode and Sean glide into a hidden cave to get away, and both inadvertently run over a hiding bin Laden (who isn't wearing a helmet), seriously wounding him.
Osama is rushed to a nearby ski lift by his bodyguards, but they don't put the bar down, and all fall to their deaths when the avalanche rocks the lift.
Bode and Sean party like it's 1999.
(During the credits, they then lift the local economy by teaching the villagers to make great handcrafted skis and boards, becoming local heroes and sweeping away anti-US sentiment in the process. Skis are named BRODES in honor of the pres.)

"Tramcock"

An orgy on the tram brings new, more literal meaning to the term ski porn. After the porn stars unload they are all buried by an avalanche.

Being filmed as we speak...

Of course the zombies are on snowboards and, of course, they are looking for brains.

Plot 9: Avalanche exposes rock ledges. Hibernating reptiles in rock awake and infest aerial tram at ski resort.

I remember seeing the Crawling Eye on Creature Feature when I was a kid. Featured a summit building with a cable car. Reminded me of the Killington Summit Lodge when the gondola ran all the way up.

That was a great film. The idea was that the aliens could live on mountain tops because the cold thin air was similar to the atmosphere on their home world.
And now, scientists in control of the Mars rovers are looking for life forms similar to the ones that exist on rocks in the Himalayas.
