Heading up to Hunter this Sunday to pick up my Winter pass. Forecast says it'll be overcast, but snow's coming in on Friday night and Saturday day, so there ought to be a decent covering, plus they should be blowing in addition. Let me know if you want to make some turns!

Next time I eat at Fat Sal's Pizza I'll let him and his 22-inch burly forearms know that you think he's a girl

There used to be a nice little bah on the left side on the way out of town near Huntah. We used to always stop there and decompress for a few rounds
They had foosball and live music or a DJ most evenings starting pretty early to suck in the apre's ski crowds.

Anybody remember what it was called in the late 80s? Is it still there?

Growing up I had freinds like: Pauly "drac" as in Dracula, he had a monobrow. Tony "nose", self explanatory, "Fat" Vinny, "Big" Ed, "Nasty" Gus, "Guido" Lonni, "Little" Pete, Chris "cock", Johnny "cap", Johnny "whiteshoes", ex gf's uncle, he was found dead a few years later shot up and torched in the trunk of his caddy made the papers and TV, part of the Gambinos.

You dont mean Slopes do you?
Was that the Hunter Village Inn (aka HVI) or Slopes in Tannersville?
Slopes really rings a bell. I bet that was it. Thanks
post #14 of 20
Slopes changed locations a few years ago, I have not been to the new place, its now on the opposite side of the street in the back of a mini shopping area with a parking lot in front.

Now I think I'm confused again. Did Slopes serve Chinese food?

No that was the place down the road called Nips
post #18 of 20
Ah Slopes!

Where the music is cheesy, the woman are sleazy, and the booze goes down easy!

The new slopes is the old yacht club. Been there a couple time after skiing but there was never more than 2 other people.

The bar right near the mountain on the left side is HVI.

So is that where you go to take a Nip?

Last chance! They're getting 6-10" today and tomorrow of fresh snow; my sister and I are taking the Emilio's bus up in the morning to get some turns in. Let me know if you're up for making some tracks or for getting some brewskies.
