boot customizing class

So i work at a local ski shop and we currently dont do a lot of custom boot fitting i know bad thing for a shop not to do. But my boss said she might send me to a class to get trained to do boot fitting, she went a few years back. She says we have all the tools allready she for some reason just stop doing it. I think it is put on by vermont ski saftey but am not sure, I am pretty sure however that it is at snow shoe mountain in mansfield ohio. Any pointers from anyone or does anyone know of another class in ohio that is good and reputable.

the only one i know about in the US is the masterfit program, AFAIK they take place in the pre season so it may be too late for this season..... the alternative is not far off what SZK suggests, find a bootfitter [probably not a local one] who is willing to let you shadow his /her work for a time, you are welcome over here also as you are not direct competition to my business, but that is proabaly the difficulty that you will come across

good luck in furthering your knowledge and well done for wanting to do it

Thanks guys now i just have to convince my boss to let me go shadow a master boot fitter in a foreign country and help pay for air fair and living expenses, I will let you know how it goes. To bad I am not in the military I could just request for a temporary transfer. But i do definitely appreciate your offers.

You can come do an unpaid internship at my shop. You will learn bootfitting, but other duties include cleaning the can, and scraping wax etc.
