I used to get shin bang before I started buying boots that fit me properly. I would pack out my linners in 35-50 days of skiing which a season for me back then. Then I swapped over to the boots I have now and I no longer have shin bang.
I was on the Nordica Supercharger Ignition 90 flex, 101 mm last. Then I went to the Supercharger Blower 115 flex and 98mm last.
Now I rock Tecnica Diablo Race R H13 with a 95 mm last.
I also have a replacement pair of Diablo Race R H17 with a 95 mm last. Still need some more work to be done on these.
A huge part of my problem with "shin bang" was a boot that was too large. The snug boot fit of a race boot is what I needed for my chicken legs.
I am not a fan of this years tecnica's which disappoints me. Nordica boots worked well for me till they packed out and when I was more free riding. But, An all out race boot is what fits my foot and skiing needs the best. I do miss the warmth of my nordicas. I also miss my hot tronics. Hot tronics and lace up linners dont go so well together.
Nordica's Boots with booster straps stock is what sold me on Booster Straps. I consider it a must have.
