So long, farewell... - Page 3

Actually, VK says, after I showed him that clip, "I would NEVER ski over my rivals skis because it would ruin my meticulously prepared bases..."

see? this guy is Rudy all the way. I am going to call him Rudy from now on. And I am renting that movie again....

Crgildart, I was thinking DKN and Viking
I corresponded with thatsagirl a while back.
She's been very busy!
Ya, Viking left me in stitches many times. I'm guessing some folks just hit a bump in life that prevents them from skiing for awhile and don't want to be teased/reminded by reading about us that can get out some. I'm not sure I'd hang around if I wasn't in ski mode.

I noticed too and missed you Linda....And I'm not even a really nice person!

ooohh my gaawwwd!!! its Lisamarie. THATS IT!! I am out of here. this thread is getting WAY to clique-y for me when Lisamarie starts posting all her bad advice! I am leaving and never coming back! aakkkkk!

Just kidding! dont leave! How are you? Last time I talked to you i think you were getting molested by iguanas in mexico or somewhere like that.

Im gone. Sort of. No, still here. Still on my laptop in the bedroom watching the news whilst VK does my skis for me. (Im spoiled rotten, I know.)

when people leave in a huff, where do they go? I suppose I could go storm into the kitchen for effect....kick the cat and beat the kids, but then what would that prove?

I've just been lurking.

Well played!

I can't tell if this is the farewell Harry Morgan thread, or welcome back LindaA.
I love it. I am gone for years and years, and the first thing I do is hijack a perfectly interesting thread.

sorry. I guess I better leave again. hummph. :}

Jeez, if you're serious about leaving a forum with a bang, at least you could write up some kind of nasty forum-virus thing that would delete all the really good posts and convert the rest to some kind of txtlish with lots of good misspelled swears scattered liberally about.

Hmmm...why do I think that this post wouldn't get deleted by that virus...

Welcome back, VK!

You responed regarding my reference of the top of Ghengis at Vail being steep as a gross over statement of difficulty. My thinking is it's all realtive, and I'm sure Baker has some steeper more difficult terrain. That's what makes Epic Ski a good forum, input and comments from a broad skier cross section that ski from a midwest bump all the way to major big mountain skiing. So on the forum we get the chance to compare our perspective to others that have a different field of experience that provides a different perspective. I think that's a good thing and we'll miss your inputs.

Bob, what a thoughtful post. Hope to ski with you someday.

Gee, that's how I feel about TGR, maybe because I accept my age, but when we hooked up with some maggots at Tuckerman ravine on the FRS, and there comment was "Hey dude's, let's go and drop some rock" We just rolled our eyes and told them we had no interest in throwing rocks down on people.
Or maybe it's because my Corp. doesn't allow that site, and even when home, I'm on VPN.

I'm not calling this forever right now. I'm just planning on skiing more and browsing less. If I feel differently I may be back.
See you soon, I've dropped out several times over the years, only to come back. I've since become very selective which threads I open up.

Exactly...

Can I add
JamesDeluxe

To Cirque's list ?

Instead of leaving in a Huff, it would be better to leave in a Chevy 'cause GMC needs the business.

JamesDeluxe seems alive and well and actively posting the usual high quality trip reports on alpinezone.com and firsttracksonline.com.

Snif, Snuf, well I'm back, bad jokes and all. You guys have to make allowances for sailing season...

Trust me, there are more than a few on this website and along the front range that would like to permanently disappear me. So far I refuse to give them the satisfaction. Butt rub, anyone?

So who wants to go skiing next week?

For the record, did anyone else think Harry Morgan was a little creepy? Hanging out with, and sometimes hitting on, younger females?

Maybe that's why he titled this last post after the von "Trapp" family...

If you look carefully you may see Harry peeking through the fence. (But he is wearing camo gear and using night goggles...)
I love these kinds of threads. A cry for attention. It's the flippin internet, not real life. Fade away.

No problem Viking! Everyone in that picture is older than us now, well maybe not Gretl and Marta, but they are at least 50.

Who's in that "us" group? Next month my oldest daughter turns 51.
LOL...It took this cat 6 years to figure out he didn't "belong" on an internet forum?

Good riddance, bud. I bet a dollar to a doughnut you're still trolling around here everyday to see all the outpouring of emotion from your announced departure.

Douche.
