That would be me...
I've got a thread going about the whole project, FS: Custom Prototypes from a New Builder

How long did these take?
If we are referring to the same Kyle I think we are, it looks like Mr. Modesty hasn't had anything to say about this yet, I can respect that. Seriously dude take some credit, those look great. Most of us are proud if we can tune or mount skis, let alone build. Edit: Same Kyle, I just looked at the other thread.
Do I see the start of ES Gear skis?
Thanks dumpy. Personally, I know I can do better, but I am super critical of my work, especially when it is going to someone else.
I worked on these off and on for a couple of months. This includes design, template/tooling making and then the actual skis. The templates and the majority of the wood cores were done here in Rochester, then the skis were pressed during Thanksgiving week in Maine. Consolidated into a continuous block of time, these probably took a total of 2 weeks of time.
I didn't mean to be Mr. Modesty, I was just away from a good internet connection during Christmas and have been focused on school since I have been back home. I really appreciate the praise from everyone here, especially from Lee. He has been beyond understanding through every stage of this process, and made it worth it for me.

Unfortunately I don't have my own shop here in Rochester. With these skis I tried to do the majority of the woodworking out here and then press them during my breaks at home (8hrs away), but this is really too much for me to do at once.
As a result, I am not taking any more orders at this point, and do not plan to make any more skis until this summer, depending on shop availability. Check my thread for details, which will be posted soon.
If there are any other threads related to this please let me know.
