I was wondering how long it would take one of you stalkers to find that. I think you set a new stalker record.

Nighty - obviously you're obsessed with me. Have you posted anything in the last few months that didn't have to do with me? Do you even ski? Hey - if you don't like what I have to say feel free to complain to the mods but (unlike you) I do contribute here and I never resort to personal put-downs unless I'm attacked first. Also - pretty much everything I say here (including percieved insults) is said tounge-in-cheek. I can't help it if some here are too dense to figure that out.

Whatever

Hey JER your posts almost always put a smile on my face and since I haven't been skiing in 2 weeks thats good.

iv never had a big problem w/ the bar. i dont care one way or the other unless it has feet rests. i like to get my feet up for those 15 minute lift rides we have here. also if i have my backpack w/ me, i like the bar because the bag pushes me almost out of the seat and it just feels better to lean on the bar.

This is the one thing that makes me wonder. I almost always have a pack on and I never feel like I'm in danger of falling off. It's kinda funny riding up Supreme at Alta and looking over to see some guy from NH or somewhere with a death grip on the chair and frozen with fear. Being the nice guy I am tho I usually make small talk to keep their mind off it.

Here's a dorky thing I've observed: ever see gapers smacking their skis together on the lift? 7 times out of 10 one of their skis ends up falling off. Why would anybody do that?
because he/she is a gaper. also im a bigger guy and that makes me w/ the backpack to be farther up in the seat
post #157 of 166
Truthfully, if I ever was at some place that had safety bars I don't think I'd trust it enough to lean on.

I smell a ski-off! Me vs. Virtual Prober! Maybe we can make it a trifecta and have a steel-cage death match and a IQ test as well.

Learn to laugh, VP. You'll live longer.

You say my "k off" isn't funny and then tell ME I need to learn to laugh?!?!?

Being a guy who disdains bar use, you could clearly whip my ass in a ski-off going backwards on one plank. In fact, I'd probably get tangled up in the bar and miss the race! So, you'd be 1/3 of the way to victory right off the bat.
I suggest that the death match should come AFTER the IQ test...one deceased participant would skew the results of the latter.

Actually...would YOUR score be much different either way??

See...I AM a funny guy!

V_P...yet another Jer victim, alas.

No - I thought it was funny two years ago when Yuki came up with it. Now it's just really played.

You're not a "Jer victim", VP. In your case I'd say it's self-inflicted.

Well, I take full creative credit, anyway, since I hadn't seen it used before.

You should take your credit for besting me, Jer...I'm handing it to you on a freakin platter! What, do you want some hollandaise and/or whipped cream on it, too?? Cherry on top???

Is there an Barking Bear Hall of Fame for the most eminent posters? Jer has GOT to be in the inner circle.

When a bar lover asks/warns a bar hater about putting the bar down, the bar hater pushes the bar lover off the chair. Win-win: bar hater rides the chair with the bar up and bar lover doesn't have to ride the chair with the bar up. Stop making this so complicated.

I want to be a Jer victim... All the victims could get together and file a class-action suit! Maybe I could get special compensation under Obama's stimulus package. C'mon Jer, I am 225lbs and lift (albeit a fat/old 225 and really light weights)

Weights?
What's this stuff about weights?
