The Academy was mentioned in a side panel in its article on best ski clinics to attend. Thought it was pretty cool and would like to attend one sometime in the future.

Here's a link, Ron. Lonewolf, if you want to attend this coming ESA at Aspen in two weeks, I can get you in. But only if you act today.

Conditions are shaping up nicely!

Lonewolf, you should take her up on it! It really is an amazing experience.

I would really like to come and its even worse because I am only like a half days drive away, but I go to the Air Force Academy and I would never get approval to miss a week of classes to go skiing. Depending on the dates for it next year though if it happens to fall on a three day weekend I might be able to get the ski club to work something out so I/we would be able to attend.

Congratulations on the Air Force Academy appointment, lonewolf, and condolences that you will be attending classes while we are skiing powder in Aspen.

I don't think snow fever would fly at the Air Force Academy infirmary.

Now wait a minute--I'm sure there's some legitimate (or not!) way to spin the EpicSki Academy as relevant to an Air Force Academy educational need.

Let's see.... Um,...There's lots of potentially good skiing in Afghanistan--better learn about it. What if someone throws a ski boot at our new president? Helicopter Skiing! You can, of course, take an airplane to Aspen. I think the Naval Academy let's 'em go. Bring your friends--we'll call you the ESA Air Force. Aspen is "above and beyond." Chris Geib flew once in Highland Bowl.

And, of course, the skiing sucks in Colorado Springs.

Just go AWOL. We won't tell!

Best regards,
Bob

Maybe the ski club could work something for Big Sky, as in, off we go, into the Wild Blue Yonder . . .

I might be able to arrange for Gen. Denny to chaperone.
