All is relative? A new run, but it was added maybe 15 years ago.
It's lookers' right to the Expo, the bottom pitch (when open) is definitely among the steepest I've seen in the East. I don't ski at Tremblant that often anymore, but I remember seeing the artificial snow stockpiled once or twice in that bottom pitch and gradually flatten. So instead of a sharp drop at 45-50 degree (no kidding) for 40 feet, it was turned more into a 35 degree similar to the natural slope on Expo.
Top of mind, the steepest (without measuring) run at Tremblant would probably be Dynamite, followed by Vertige (top), Cossak (WC bumprun - other side of Expo) and Expo.
|So, am I missing any runs up there that you might want to see?
Skiking4, you might want to check out a few of Quebec's steeps.
Mont Ste-Anne south side steeps. La "S" and "Super S"...followed by runs like la Crête, L'Espoir and St-Laurent. They are pretty much neighbouring each other.
Le Massif, la Charlevoix trail is another.
I guess you need to have areas in high resolution on Google Earth? These areas above are, some aren't.
Not sure about the resolution for Mont Orford: La Maxi, Intrepide, etc. I would have to look into it.
Cannon NH: Tramline or Kinsman glade
Killington: East Fall
