beginner, yes the levels are a bit confusing. I mentioned in another post that Okemo does not even use them anymore. They have classe such as True Blue, beginner bumps, advanced bumps, etc. I would not have known what level class I was in if i did'nt ask!
To complicate matters more, your level can change at a different resort. Last year at Bretton Woods, a REALLY mellow resort, they told me to take level 6. And to further agravate you
[img]tongue.gif[/img] , a blue on one hill may be a green somewhere else. The Black diamond I skied at Okemo would probably be a green at Fernie.
What works is to develop a plan where part of the time, you are doing skill development on easier green slopes, then every once in awhile, you venture out onto a blue, and not worry too much about technique. Eventually you will start to notice that you are carrying over your technique on to the more challenging slopes.
But don't let an obsession with progress destroy your love of skiing![I'm one to talk, eh?]
