Just as I like the old school vibe and hike and be rewarded with endless fresh tracks of pow mow. Woody has more soul in his powder country bus driving hand, than the entire Holden clan.
You paid $10 to be towed up a slope you could skin or booter up in under 15 min?
I'm betting you didn't make it up to the summit of James peak or hit the backside either.
Yep, $15 for a huge piece of superb lasagne with a real salad and a drink in a beautiful lodge with restrooms that don't stink, and high speed gondolas with no lift lines servicing much better terrain sucks. When I've been there they had less than 1,000 people on the hill for days on end, and finding freshies wasn't a problem (and the fall lines were, well, fall lines, unlike.....). During President's week last year, we skied right on those annoying high speed gondolas, but no doubt I must be mistaken.
OK, so go gnar and freeze on the ultra low speed chairs, or wait at the bottom for 20 minutes for the soulful bus, then have a serving of cafiteria slop that's not part of your lift ticket price either. And save the $10 and boot or skin up, as no doubt that's part of your holiday plans, and avoid the (apparently) overpriced cat ride for more nondescript terrain that no one's on because......
He's on vaca, maybe being the gnar and booting up the slackcountry isn't exactly what he had in mind - ya think?
Anyway, there's no comparison between the 5k acres at PowMow and the 5K at Fail, and I'm no Fail afficiando (btw, I usually go to A-basin when in the Vail area - tell me more about the uber coreness at PowMow
What - TGR slow today?
