I am a 5 foot 5 athletic Male that weighs 150 pounds. I am an intermediate skier that skis about 80 percent on piste and 20 percent off. I would like to buy an all around ski that will be used mostly on eastern conditions but still could be used out west. I was told and Elan Mag 8 would be great start. Anway, any ski and boot suggestions would great, because I am little overwhelmed by all of the great choices. Thanks in advance--Wess

Any backward skiing? If so, your opening up to the whole wide world of twin tips as well. They are always fun, even if you dont plan on doing it that much.

I wanted an all mountain ski as well, probably 65%+ on piste and like 35% or less off piste, and ended up with the Fischer Addicts because i got an amazing deal. I started to mess around in the park the past season so i went with a twin tip. i definitely could live without it, but its not like it cost extra or anything, and now when i want to, i can even ski backwards and land jumps backwards. Its a decent underfoot, i ski in the east too so i know im not expecting any amazing pow days, its a strong ski and cuts crud great.

Thanks for the suggestion but I probably will not be doing any backward sking or going to the park very often. Mainly just doing some cruising with a little adventure
