Where to Park at Snowbird? Tram or Gad?

I've never been to Snowbird before so please excuse the weird question. How convenient is the tram to use?

If we park near the Gad lifts, is it easy to ski back over to the area from the tram area? Just wondering what might be the best place to park. Thanks.

ummm you guys are all wrong....

park at the access road or the top of chickadee and cut down on you walking time alot.

and the tram is the best lift at snowbird if you legs can stand it you could ski every run off the tram for weeks and never have the same run. If your legs need a rest I suggest Gad 2. Mineral Basin is a tourist trap and seldom has good skiing due to either visibility being bad or sun baking the snow..

Listen to BwPA, he knows what he is talking about, but don't park where he said, you might be taking my spot.

Chickadee earns you extra turns at the end of the day

Thanks! I am on my way on LCC right now and the snow is dumping on us! It's great.

Park at the top of Chickadee like the Bush man says. Climb over the snow burm and ski down to the tram. When done for the day, ride the Chickaee lift back to your car. ;-)

now that is a terrible thing to say. I always like some MB runs, even when it is hell chopped up mash potatoes it is fun to ski down. there are more black lines to ski in that one bowl than most resorts. Ski both boundary lines for some exploration.

its still the worst skiing in the bird during the winter months. during the spring its a grea asset as its the first thing to corn.

I went to Snowbird and parked at the top of Chickadee and it worked out perfectly. That was a great place to park! Thank you for the advice.

The powder was awesome up there--12" to 24" deep. Regulator was super-fun.

Thanks to all for the help! I definitely want to go back to the Bird.
