Mythic Rider Graphics?

Thread Starter
I just bought a 08 pair of Dynastar MR with the new dark wood graphics. When I took them home I realised that they did not have the dynastar graphics on the bottom (flipside) of the ski. Is this normal? If yes, does anyone know why dynastar produces certain skis without graphics on the back?. I know this may seem silly to some, but I am curious to find out if there is anything wrong with the pair I bought.

On the '07/'08 ski, the tip end of the base, about the first 1/5 give or take, should be orange and say Dynastar. Is the base of your ski all black?

I have the 08/09 model and the base is all black.

On Fluid version the base is black so if used in a demo program it is easier to repair the base. On the flat version it has the Dynastar logo in the base. Base material is the same with both versions.

Why, does the use of the fluid binding system replace the need for a dedicated demo binding?

Because it is a dedicated demo binding

Do you mean that literally as in: "the fluid binding is actually a demo" binding or figuratively: "the fluid binding system skis like a demo binding"?

It does not replace it - just another option. Some shops like to have demo product that is the same stuff they sell. So they can demo and sell the Fluid version and it is really the same thing.

not sure on the intended meaning there but the Fluid system is not a demo system. It is a production binding/system and works as a demo system. A standard demo binding is much faster and easier to adjust that the Fluid system.

I can guarantee you the fluid binding is as fast as a demo..What I meant to say is that the fluid acts as a demo binding, in that it can be reconfigured in 30 seconds by someone who know what to do. The front, and rear adjust by lifting a tab, and moving. Then set your din, just like a demo binding. Thats it..

I agree if the person adjusting the binding knows where to set the heel piece based on the scribe marks. Otherwise there is some trial and error to get the fwd pressure correct. If Fluid was intended to be a demo system, there would have been a better way to mark the heel piece locations.

Thank you for the clarification. With regard to setting the binding should I fix the front part based on my boot size and then adjust the heel piece accordingly? Because there are also mark settings for the heel piece.

Set both front and rear "sleds" according to boot size, then adjust the forward pressure of the heel piece within the rear sled.
