For those of you who ski every weekend...

How much would someone have to pay you to wear these every weekend, all weekend, every moment you're not skiing, throughout the season?

Vile. Vile. Vile.

I'm not sure they've made it across the pond, though.

I think every third woman I saw last year in Chamonix had them on (normally in white or gold, the red is a nice change). I've never seen they anywhere else, thankfully.

You still see a lot of them here.

Is MoonBoot offering you a sponsorship??

I'd turn it down.

No, this is one I always ask at the beginning of the season. Most of my friends have said they'd don the Moonboots for a season at around 2-3,000 euros.

I would be afraid to go in the mens with them on.

Yeah, I wanted to show the baby blue ones, but couldn't find a photo.

They're like Ugg boots for the winter.

I don't ski every weekend (kinda hard in DC...) but if I was still an instructor, I'd sell my soles for $3k or so. That's 2 pairs of skis and ~20 lift tickets, I'm willing to look fug for that!

Also, yes, the only reason I posted this reply was so I could make the terrible pun.

I think the older ones might have a modicum of street cred, though. I'm talking fresh out of the box here.

A day of heli skiing here costs about $900. I'd wear those boots for THAT. Hell, I'd even wear them to and from the helipad.

I have no shame.

You ship them, I'll wear them. And I'll post pics to prove it! PM me for address.

New setup, season pass, and a bunch of gas money and I'm soled.

Way to put your foot in your mouth. Folks are fighting over these..

I smell an EpicSki Special Auction coming up
post #18 of 24
As long as it's a reverse auction... who's willing to take the least amount of money to wear these, in public, at least 30 times this year?
I'd wear them for at a rate of a day pass at a half way decent hill for one day of boot wearage.
I think about 3k would do it for me. Do they need a Mountain Rep?

Gonna have to round up a pair...
If they came with a family seasons pass I would wear them on my head!
I would wear them if they paid the fuel money for me to get to loveland the 3-4 times a week I make it.

I can confirm that Moon Boots are alive and well, at least in Bad Gastein. Just got back, and the preferred combination seemed to be with a fur coat, oversized Gucci sunglasses and some sort of furry hat. Best not attempted by anyone under the age of 50, and best left to our friends from "New Europe".
