I saw some cows on the way up. It was nice to get out of the city.

Just a couple of guys I met up there. I met Lonnie 24 years ago. I met Jeff today. I ran into a few other people who have been at Liberty forever. It's my home mountain.

Thanks mdf and Bumper for the compliments, but I know the pics are only so-so. I've had the camera for a few months but haven't really learned to use it. These shots were taken in auto mode, single shot. I was extremely lucky to catch that action. I only skied one and a half runs with these guy and these are the only shots I took of them. While they dawdled at the loading area, I got on the lift ahead of them and set up on the first pitch facing skiers' left. Of course Lonnie goes by on the right of me, around my back, but I still got him in the frame coming and going.

Thanks to BWPA for the tutorial on uploading and posting photos, very helpful. I'll try to post some better images if I manage to capture them.

Probably the first ever TR from Liberty. You won't find stuff like this on TGR!

Snow looked great. I have never skied Liberty, I used to ski Roundtop more when my sister in law was out at Dickinson.

Is it me or do these pics actually look the pitch look like... it's... steep?

Tks for pics, and memories! First skied Liberty 1983 while living in DC, and it seemed huge at the time (beginner....). IIRC, 15 trails at the time.

I tilted the camera.

Thanks. Your bumped TR threads and comments in the TR poll thread and Josh's same day report from 7springs (and his TR enthusiasm in general) were my inspiration to take pictures of this less than awesome but very fun trip and post them.

Just saw this. I've been busy skiing rather then posting for a change.
Nice Rod. I may be up there next Saturday. Yes, Liberty has two runs in particular, on the back side that are short, but steep enough to grow bumps in winter. Are they called Ultra and Strata?
I only skied Liberty once long ago and the back pitch was sweet but short, typical PA. It looks like you had a nice time, great photos too. You're probably right about TGR but did BWPA post the 7 Springs TR over there?

I look forward to making turns with you this year. We'll talk Blue Knob when the fun stuff opens. Are you in Jamej?

Jim, you are correct. That's Ultra in the pictures. Strata is a little steeper.

Rob, looking forward to it.

Thanks, I'll be hitting Liberty for some night skiing this season.

First time on skis at liberty. First (and hopefully last) time breaking a bone skiing also at liberty (about age 11). I hope to get back there at some point to for nostalgia's sake.
