just got a BOSU at costco.i have always wanted to try it. and of course,if you dont like it,you can bring it back. $95 with extra pulley gizmos.

i am already sensing that it will help recovering from off balance positions, and maybe avoid some

Pulley gizmos? ???

The Bosu is an awesome workout tool for skiing (and any other sports for that matter). I have one at home and take/teach a class at the local YMCA. Search the web for different ways to use it.

has anyone tried it with alpine boots on?

or would barefoot work the stabilizers the most?

the pulleys mentioned above are on this model attached to the base ,probably to try to sell it as a "total workout"

You bet.

Really weird on boots with non-solid soles.

I've tried it with ski boots on.... once was enough. I've got two BOSUs and I like to jump from one to the other. It was too sketchy with boots on.
