Tahoe this weekend (driving/snow)?

To the fellow Tahoe skiers: Looks like there will be some unsettled weather this weekend. Soo... How does driving up there look (Fri night or Sat night)? What is the chance of having reasonable (not perfect ) skiing conditions? What's your feeling?

bring chains. Friday night storm seems little weak on snow but Sunday might be different.

Skiing - still just on manmade snow. The Sun-Mon system might be big enough to change that.

Feeling: If we didn't have plans in Tahoe this weekend, I would not be driving up.

Snow conditions suck because there is no snow. I wouldn't worry about the roads until Sunday, but bring chains. I agree with StormDay, a special trip isn't needed.

It's going to suck.

That said, I'm typing this from I-80 at Secret Town Rd, traveling eastbound at approximately 68mph. (Sinecure is driving.) No precip yet.

Let me know what the conditions are Sat

Still may come up for a day...

Condiitons could be worthwhile by Monday or especially Tuesday. Saturday will be a blow-out with not enough snow yet and high winds. Sunday into monday it will be snowing, and we'll hope for the best. We need a couple feet to get any terrain open.
