So, this year I have a long enough Christmas break that I can take two Christmas vacations, the first is to visit the parents for some golf in South Carolin, and for the second I need snow.

I was thinking about meeting up with my brother in Tahoe, but with the weather there, I'm not planning anything up there, and now it looks like most of the world's got pretty expensive to fly to, so I'm thinking either Denver or SLC -- what do you guys think?

Should I ski the bird/alta or head to Denver and jump on whatever shuttle goes to wherever got the most snow?

I'll be traveling solo, so if anyone else's in a similar boat looking for a ski partner, let me know.

Edit: Maybe this is the perfect time for an avalanche class -- anyone know about an aaire level 1 during that time frame? Of course the snowpack will be small most anywhere...
