ESA AspenSnowmass

Hi Epic Bears!

I want to personally invite you to AspenSnowmass this season for the EpicSki Academy.

In addition to the obvious benefits of skiing in our beautiful valley (more on this below!), my main reasons concern both price and quality.

1. All my professional life, I've dreamed of operating a small, dynamic ski school where the coaches are the very same people that I, myself, would go to for upgrading my own skiing. This is such a school. Finally after years of development, I can say, without spin, that this is the premier school in the nation THAT week.

Here's the deal:
A Former World Cup competitor (Martin Bell), Warren Miller movie stars (Dan Egan and Eric DesLauriers), current PSIA National Team members (Robin Barnes, Charlie MacArthur, and Jim Schanzenbaker), PSIA National Team alumni (Megan Harvey and Weems Westfeldt), Technical Director of Keystone and author of The Complete Encyclopedia of Skiing (Bob Barnes), top trainer at Snowmass and my favorite redneck (Squatty Schuler). Squatty, Schanzy, Robin, Charlie, Megan, Bob, and I are all PSIA examiners with quite deep experience. And we've got more where all of them came from!

I'm inordinately proud of being able to work with this group of pros. Like any ski school, operating it is a bit like herding cats. But in this case it's more like herding mountain lions. Ya just leave 'em alone and let 'em do their stuff!

2. AspenSnowmass is SOOOOOO expensive. EXCEPT FOR US! Check these prices: $179/double occupancy lodging at the newly renovated Wildwood Lodge just a few steps from the slopes that includes a hot and hearty buffet breakfast, free airport shuttle, excellent on-site restaurant, pool and hot-tub. (Hurry, though, our room block is only being held for us until December 17.)

I'm looking forward to welcoming you to the Roaring Fork Valley. See ya soon!

Lodging questions

2 quick questions regarding ESA Snowmass '09:

1. The original ESA advertising for the Wildwood Lodge indicated $179/night single OR double occupancy; has it now changes to double occupancy only?

2. The original ads also indicated a cutoff date for that rate of Dec. 10; has it now indeed been changed to Dec. 17?

That's single or double occupancy, TNSkier. Yes, we got an extension to Dec. 17.
