Snowbird got a fair dumping of snow last week (~a foot) and it made for some awesome runs. The resort is now 75% open!

It has been many months say I've been down the cirque traverse and it felt good to be home :-)

Nice vid.

Looks like you guys had a blast out there and the conditions looked great for this time of year.

Thanks for sharing.

Stoked!
Snowbird produces month after month, year after year, while everywhere else struggles.

Nice vid - thanks for the stoke. Friend of mine is heading out there next week and was getting concerned. This should calm him down a little

Great video. It looked like he was on Hellbents.
And with the expected 15"+ coming today it just keeps getting better!

Great video dude.

Snowbird proves again its the best resort in the nation if you can ski.

That looks great, I'm going to be at snowbird Jan 30th Jan 31th and feb 1st (can't wait).
In the video around the 1:15 to 1:45 mark, do you know whre that was. I skied once at snowbird and it looked familiar.

Well done. Seeing those smaller rocks was makin me a little nervous.

You are very fortunate.

that appears to be the Silver Fox area.

Snowbird Rules, year after year. It has incedible "vast" experts terrain and the best snowfall and on top of all that, with staying in Sandy/Midvale 1/2 day skiing on travel days, it is the cheapest western ski vacation! Everywhere else is "thin" but they are skiing crunchy, fluffy snow at the bird. Party because so much of the Bird faces dead north and the steepness keeps the snow sweet all winter. (note the differenc at Alta where much of it is North East & West and gets the sun that affects the snow.

I'm heading for first Aspen trip on Friday, partly because I want to take my non-skier wife along, but am Jonesing because I know "I shoulda went to Snowbird". It is the always the best bet for good snow. I don't think there is a year where SLC has lower snowfall totals than other locales. I'm scheduled for Snowbird last weekend in Feb and the snow has ALWAYS been good that week with many big powder days over the years.

Hellbents. They are a ultra fun ski and turn on a dime.

That was a sketchy little air at the bottom of silver fox. Runs out in the same area as cirque and a lot of other areas. If you took the tram when you were out here I can almost guarantee you skied that same area :-)

Jake - awesome video! My buddy and I are heading out to Snowbird Feb 6 - 11th. Would love to have a little tour around the mountain as it'll be our first time out there. Willing to trade beer for some local secrets!

Heh, send me a p/m. I'll be in telluride from ~2 - 8th of feb. for freeskiing nationals, but I should be in the tram after that.

Sorry about the delayed response! Weird weekend...
It is a VIO POV.1 w/ a wide angle lens. Kicks ass, as clear as you can get.

Cheers,
Jake
