This is positively the weirdest thing. Ever since I can remember, every once in a while while skiing, might be once or twice a day, or once every several days, I get a muscle cramp underneath my chin. If you see the image below, the portion of the muscle in red on left side of the image is where it is. Think it is the anterior Digastricus.

It's that type of cramp where it hurts and feels like the muscle turned into a hard marble. I can even feel it with my finger if I press on it. It passes in anywhere from 15 seconds to about a minute.

No idea what causes this. I suspect I do something quiet my upper body that involves muscle tension and it just triggers that muscle to cramp up, usually on one side.

Weird, huh?
