$7 new skis???

Did anyone catch the tramdock e-mail about 99% off Movements Joysticks this morning??

If I'm doing my math right, thats just shy of 7 dollars for a pair of skis. Something sounds fishy with that, thats about half of what shipping would cost.

Did anyone actually see them up on TD?? I tried to pull up a cached page on google to no avail to see if that was a typo.

I don't care if a ski is completely sucktastic or typical K2x5 fugly, for that price I can find a use for them.

Gotta be a typo...

or maybe a marketing gimmick to get people talking on these interweb forums. I mean no one is actually up at that time to buy the first deal of the day, so no loss, but a lot of us get the alert e-mails and talk ski gear all day.

It was actually $1. And yes, I missed it too.

Cheap skis are like cheap beer. Life is too short.

yeah, but you could make a killer sled with them.

Or have an Ulllr sacrifice or make a chair or a shot ski or give them to poor kids or the main reason, rock skis.

Do not raise the ire of Ullr by sacrificing mediocre beer.

Only the best will do. And, trust me, he knows the difference.

good point, please excuse my sacrilege.

I'm still pissed that I missed it. At that price my wife would actually have understood the purchase.

What time is their first deal of the day??? I've noticed that the e-mail comes in at 2am EST (or is it EDT right now, I always forget), so it must be after that.

2am EC=midnight Utah time, so maybe thye deal and the e-mail go out at the same time. I heard talk of dollar pants and saw some boots at a redonkulous discount for this morning.

Movement Skis Joystick Alpine Ski

It's game over for your park and pipe rivals when you plug in the Joystick.

Grab hold of the Movement Joystick Alpine Ski to experience freestyle performance that owns the terrain park. Nobody makes skis like Movement, the company with a reputation for lightweight, exotic wood cores and super-durable vertical sidewall laminate construction. The twintip Joystick uses all of Movement's Swiss ingenuity to crush it in the park and pipe or to be an all-mountain freestyle force. Full okume and poplar wood down the length of the Joystick is lightened at the tip and tail for faster spins, while titanal reinforcements add durability for rail hits and dampening when you're landing huge airs.

What is "SOLD OUT (e)"?
Sacattack.com can only see what you see when you goto to steepandcheap.com (SAC). Let's say you goto SAC and there is a small quantity remaining, then soon after you goto SAC again and it's a new item. You most likely assume that SAC sold out of that previous item. Well sacattack.com has to make assumptions just like you. Since SAC is only visted at certain intervals, we don't know exactly what happened in between visits. Sacattack.com tries to make it's best guess if the item was sold out or not. When sacattack.com is estimating a sell out (as opposed to knowing for sure), then the phrase "SOLD OUT (e)", will be used.

Edit, Went online and talked to a chat guy at backcountry. Error and said the people that placed orders had emails sent out to them. SOOO, to good to be true.

It was part of the promo email. And I know of at least one Maggot who reports receiving a shipping notification. I call real.
