It's funny to see the original post, which contains a link to a live webcam, and contrast the current conditions (which don't look too bad) to the original comments.

I want to check back here in March or April. If the webcam feed is still live and if the season turns out to be epic, it should be a hoot.

Yeah I read it and just started to crack up because a week ago there was no snow... and now it's FILLED with snow!

Doing a lot better. But alternat destination of Mt. Hood is no substitue for Crystal Mt., WA.

Make that alternate destination Whistler-Blackcomb or Mt. Bachelor!

I would but I only have a free place to stay in Seattle or Portland. Wait I think I might have a cousin who lives in Bend.

Crystal weather looks like some dumping Friday and Saturday, clear and cold for a few days, and likely more snow after that. (Single digit night lows Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues, as arctic air comes down through central B.C.) Once the storm track moves up here, it may snow pretty good all winter, including the northern Rockies. Or, it may shift. Don't count the PNW & northern Rockies out yet.

7 day Jet Stream forecast map:

I never considered that the image link I posted was live...anyway, even the fog looks better than the original grass.
