Checking in on ski length

Hey, I'm new around here. Just thought I'd post up a question though.

For the past few weeks, I've been getting stoked for the ski season to start around here (pacific northwest) so I've been looking at new gear. A few days ago, I ordered a set of K2 Public Enemies 179cm after a lot of reading. However, after further thought I'm wondering if these may be too long.

I'm nearly 6'0, weigh about 190 lbs, and about an intermediate skier. I'm a teenager, if that makes any difference. After talking to a few people from various companies, they said 179 would be the best choice. I ski a lot on groomers, but I'm hoping to venture into the park a bit now, and more powder stuff.

So, I guess in short I'm just asking if these skis are going to be okay. Not too long I hope. Also, I need bindings, so any advice on bindings and mounting spots would be helpful.

Thanks!

They'll be fine. I'm you height and a tad lighter. That's what I'd get. They ski a bit shorter anyway - most twins do.

Sounds fine given your size and the twin tips (subtract 3-4 cm). Enjoy!

Thanks guys.

What about binding placement? I don't know anything about it. Searching on here doesn't reveal much...

As a rule of thumb, if you want a freestyle twin for all mountain use, mount at least 2-3 cm behind the factory line. But can't vouch for PE's per se, so check around, do a search. Many threads on PE's here.
