Gore Mountain $71 lift ticket???

I was considering going for a half day (a Saturday travel day) before spending two days at Whiteface. At $71/ticket, I'm not so sure if Gore's worth a half day. Any thoughts?

Are there any discounts out there?

West Mtn is nearby and closer to highway and might offer a better half day bargain. Other possible discount ticket sources: Liftopia and Potter Brothers ski shops.

Nothing on Liftopia... but I already had planned on buying the Whiteface tickets through there. $47.99/day vs $74 at the mountain (ridiculous!).

As far as West Mountain goes, it doesn't look as good as Bristol Mountain, which is the other option. Maybe we'll leave at 4am and do 3 days at Whiteface instead.

Hey Joe,

We (Liftopia), should have some Gore tickets in the next couple weeks. We are still working with them to get the tickets loaded, so thanks for your patience.

Skip Tog and get a Song Mt. season's pass. It is valid at Song and Snow Ridge.

Hey Chris,

We'll get on the phone and see if we can get them on board. Thanks for the suggestions, and hopefully we'll keep adding resorts this season.

Thanks for your patience,

E

Any progress on this yet? Will the discounts be comparable to Whiteface?

Thanks for your help!!!

I'm going to bump this one last time to see if anyone can come up with anything for Gore.

Do the Whiteface tickets cover Gore as well? I know that the season passes are listed for both.

I have a Gore/WF pass and it gets me both. Not sure about day tics. Call to check. The best deal at Gore is on Wednesdays...bring a Coke product and ski for something like $35.
IMHO, $71 is ridiculuous for Gore.

I don't think the Whiteface tickets cover Gore... I wish it would, with Liftopia.com charging just $47.99/day for the Face. I think we're going to bite the bullet though, and cough up the money. I guess it's not so bad, since the Whiteface tix are coming so cheap.

As well, as a message to the Whiteface folks (and other resort operators), if anyone reads here... A buddy of mine who lives just across the Odgensburg bridge on the Canadian side (About 2 hours away) is meeting up with my crew and I in Lake Placid. He's a casual skier, and says now that he knows about the Liftopia deal, he'll probably go there a lot. At $74US, he'd never bother.
