Mismatched bindings and plates

I live in Texas and shop online for my gear. End of season last year I bought a pair of Nordica Nitrous and just found out that the bindings do not match the plates. There is NO recall so I need to look forward and get the correct parts. I believe it's going to be cheaper to replace the plates but I'm not quite sure how to insure I get the correct plates.

This is not a thread about the yays and nays of internet buying, this is a thread about a poor soul who can't use the best d^mn skis he's ever owned and how to help him get him and his Nitrious on the slopes.

Thanks

Any chance of posting a picture, or two? Might be helpful.

Thanks for the replies guys. I believe the skis are 2007 and the bindings are 2005 although I'm not 100% sure as the skis are in NY and I'm home in Texas,

I've asked my friends to take some pics of the skis and email me the serial numbers.

Has anybody ever replaced plates? Can they even be replaced?

Why not just sell the Markers you have and buy some XBS ones?

Excuse my lack of knowledge but I'm not sure I understand. My understanding (could be wrong) is that the plates and bindings comprise a system with non-interchangable parts.

So far I've been told I need to change the plates with the plates made for that binding or find the specific bindings that fit the plates????

I'm asking why pick #1 if #2 requires no ski-specific mechanical knowledge?

In the end, it should look something like:

Are you saying that xbs bindings fit generically on all Nordica plates? If that's the case that may be an option although I'd also like to pursue getting my current setup rectified.

Thanks

This sh*t breaks my heart, I was so excited to finally get new skis :-(
