TR - Lone Star fish taco in da burgh?!

the shortest TR ever.

I have had one of those mexican seafood bundles of awesomeness in 4 months and that so needed to change.

I found that after looking on google for .29 seconds. after a couple hours I had this, but only like 20 minutes of actually 'prep' time.

its came out so close to real thing and I was stoked!!! so stoked I felt compelled to tell yinz about it.

I made a trip along the Baja last year. I was blown away by the goodness of the fish tacos and and the carne asada. Food of the Gods

We tried this recipe tonight, and it was great. The fish came out rather spicy, but when combined with the cabbage and the mayo sauce, it was perfect. I tossed a pinch of monterey jack cheese in each taco.

Thanks for passing this on Bush.

Looking forward to re-visiting Lone Star in a few months, I like their big squishy burritos. You can't get proper mexican food over here, it tends to be that over-spiced over-egged tex-mex party food.

I actually patronised what was the fore-runner to Lone Star in '98! it was just what looked like an ex-tyre show-room, a concrete pad and glass walls. Dreamed of the burritos for years afterwards.

No such thing as overspiced, but

over-egged?

Eeew.

Every time I hear "fish taco" I laugh. God I'm immature and I love it.

That looks pretty close. I think the only thing you could do to make it more Lone Star is drop it on the floor and throw in a few cockroaches.

Thanks Josh, you just made my day. My wife loves fish taco's. I'll have to make these for her this weekend.
