FS: Fischer RX8 175 2007

These skis are in fantastic shape have about 40 days on them. The bases and edges are in new or better then new condition as I just had Mike Desantis (former WC tech, skimd.com) do a refinish job on them. The top sheets look very good, but do have some minor delam about to happen at the tails. Were meticulously maintained by me, very little filing of the edges, but plenty of TLC and wax.

FX12 bindings.

Pictures will be taken soon and emailed to any serious buyers.

$300 or b/o

Don't sell them, send them in under warrenty. They replaced mine with less delam than your skis.

I agree with youngsman. I had a pair of 06's just replaced with 09 rx8's. Bring them back to where you purchased them or any Fischer dealer and they should replace them for free. I also have the 07 (same as yours) and they are mint but I have only used them one day. My 06's were a mess though. I will actually be selling my 07's as they were only used once and just collecting dust.

thanks for the idea guys, I know someone else who had this problem too, so I sent an email to the dealer I bought them from, we'll see what happens.

If you see a post for a brand new pair in a few weeks for sale, you'll know!

According to the dealer I can send them back, they'll send them to Fischer who will "most likely" repair them and return them to the dealer, then to me. This would take about 6 weeks. Noone else has posted anything about repairing, just replacing.

Any thoughts on this?

SMJ, others may have more experience, but I've never heard of a MFG. repairing warranty ski claims....

Anyone?

Dealer said they've seen it done by Fischer a lot, been a Fischer dealer for 15 years. Who knows?

Repair was never mentioned as an option when i talked to the dealer. There was another thread earlier on this. No mention of repair in that either.

Skis are on the way back to Fischer via local dealer, who also said "no they can't be repaired."

Thanks to everyone for coaxing me to do this instead of selling them.

Fischer replaced them with brand new 175 RX8 Fires. Don't know what to do with them.

Any interested buyers?

How much?

Not sure what year they are yet, as I haven't picked them up. I'm assuming 08, possibly 07? The bindings are from my skis, thus (gently) used - skis new.

I'd take $400 + shipping.

If the skis are brand new I would like them. Let me know what model year it is when you get them.
