Killington 11/21 - Pics!

I had a great time at Killington today. The snow-makers have really been blasting the snow guns. On the few open trails (13 according to the trail report this morning), the coverage was excellent. It looked and felt like mid-February. Temps were in the low teens but it was sunny and the winds were calm.

A couple of trails even had loads of soft man-made powder (Highline and Mousetrap).

Highline

Mousetrap

And to top it off, there were no lift lines on the four lifts that were open - K1 gondola, North Ridge Triple, Snowden Quad and Poma.

Check out the live webcam (or better yet - blizzardcam) near K1:

I just received the following "Powder Alert" from Killington.

A foot of new snow in the past 24 hours and we're experiencing our first Powder Day of the season!

Heading into the Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend, we're serving up more than 40 trails and seven lifts, including the K-1 Express Gondola, Superstar Express Quad and the Ramshead Express Quad with terrain for all ability levels. Yep, we'll be feasting on the most open terrain in New England and the most open Turkey Day Trails that we've seen here at Killington in the past 10 years!

I want to go tomorrow but work may get in the way. Anyone interested in meeting at Killington on Thursday for some Powder Turkey?

Great Idea,

I'm in, figured most would be enjoying T-day and I would have the goods to myself, but hey, I'll share, after all its Thanksgiving!!

Move to Get Togethers??

Doug, I went on Wednesday for early Powder Turkey, but alas, the Turkey was frozen stiff. See my 11/26 TR. I may head back to Killington next week.
