Doberman Pro vs WC

What's the difference between a Doberman Pro vs the WC? Yeah, the flex is 130 vs 150, but other than that are they the same? Especially the last? Or is the WC a plug boot?

The reason I ask is that I've got a pair of the Pros and think they're perfect for me. There's a pair of WCs new in box (but a few seasons old) on ebay for $100 in my size and I'm thinking about picking them up as insurance or as eventual replacement. I've been through two seasons on the Pros, and nothing lasts forever...

I don't think I need a 150 flex, but I like a precise feeling and boots can be softened.

About me: 175lbs, mediocre skier from the midwest who doesn't race, ski mostly groomed (although that's changing). Very narrow ( AAA) feet. Happily ski all day on Doberman Pros without ever feeling the need to loosen the buckles or take them off.

I'm currently without a bootfitter since he left the business to pursue a more lucrative career, but the Doberman Pros were purchased on his recommendation. Other than a thermofit, moving the orthotics from my old boots and adding an ankle butterfly I didn't need any further customization.

Quiver: Völkl 5 stars, Tigershark 10', Mantras, P50 Platinum.

Beware that 150 flex is pretty beefy and they don't really soften well without a lot of cutting. I guess you have to ask how much a deal does that really represent...?

My take is that I'm on 130 flex now and don't feel like they're too stiff. Would another 20 points make that big a difference? That's about 15%. I don't think another 15% would be a problem.

Is the flex scale logarithmic or some other function that would mean 150 is a lot stiffer than the 15% you'd expect?

It's not linear

I've been informed that it's a different (narrower) last. Thanks.

That pretty much shoots the idea of buying them over the interwebs without trying them on first.

Not 100% sure but I think that the WC = 95mm and the pro = 98mm.

same basic shape, but more volume in the pro

WC is narrower and as JD said scale is not linear. 150 is muoy stiffo!
