It's snowing now in the alps. I'll be up in the mountains near La Clusaz for the weekend but not skiing. Should snow all weekend!

Forget the Alps, it's been snowing all morning in Berlin. We're heading to the Czech border tonight for a weekend of xc skiing.

Alps? We don't need no stinking Alps!

LOL

too much wind to ski though...

the snow coming down now is for the northern part and on Monday southern france and the valais in switzerland will receive up to 110 cm snow and then there's another genua-layer (meteorological name) which will bring more snow to the south side of the alps from tuesday !!!

Great!!!!

The VdI webcam looks VERY encouraging. (Now all I need is a good dump in Maine. It's certainly cold enough!)

I'll add to those totals the two feet or so we got in little old Altenberg, Germany at all of 600 m on the Czech border south of Dresden this weekend.

Great conditions on our skinny skis.

Again, who needs your stinking Alps? (Well, I do in a month when we go to Bad Gastein, so I guess you can have snow there, too)

I can report significant snow in Krakow... I was unable to ski in Austria this trip.

But as Arnold Schwarzenegger says, "I'll be back"!

There was a good 1/2" in my back garden yesterday morning.
I was waxing skis in the afternoon, but that's in preparation for hitting Tignes next Sunday
