Is skiing in untied snowboard boots (or are those untied Ugg boots?) and wristbands considered smart these days?

No, but collecting $$ to wear them could be. She does have a degree from Dartmouth.

Pickin' up a piece

http://s208.photobucket.com/albums/b...=gasconnie.jpg

Only time I've met someone on a ski slope that lead to anything amusing was about 4 years ago at Stowe.
We met on Saturday, went skiing on Monday, had a steamy amorous interlude on the gondola, actually several interludes lol, then went our separate ways.

Something like an Erica Jong zipless f**k.

I have met some for harmless cuddling on cold chair lifts.
I think the things which attract me to men on the ski slope are......
overall fitness appearance, fun quotient, if they are articulate, and if they do not appear to be either derelicts or trustafarians.

Interestingly, several women have made subtle approaches, guess it's the Sisterhood of the Few, but I'm not yet ready to pursue that line of play!

Well that would explain why you don't get a SECOND date.

I've never 'picked up' on the slopes, but I've had several ski related-relationships (including my dear husband), I'm not surprised considering I don't usually look my 'best' - red, windburned cheeks, frozen boogers and ratty, wet braids. But I do scrub up ok at the bar afterwards.

Oh, and ski gear does add about 10 pounds guys!!
Beautiful women who are also amazing skiers don't exist? They definitely do exist in Quebec.

IMO there's nothing more attractive than a beautiful woman on skis. Windburned cheaks and everything else that comes with skiing is all part of the package. A beautiful woman is a beautiful woman, windburned cheaks or not.

+1

Windburn on the cheeks is WAY more attractive than make-up.

Personally, I find it more comfortable to put my ski pants on before exiting the gondola, that prevents windburn on the cheeks.

It also helps to prevent shrinkage.

Erica Jong was shocking and extreme when Fear of Flying came out. I was in high school, and remember standing in a corner of the bookstore reading bits of it... They probably wouldn't have sold it to me, and anyway I would have been too embarrassed to try.

I don't think I ever read the whole thing, but I still don't get "zipless". I know what it is talking about, but why does zipless describe it?

Also, I just noticed the JONG aspect of this.... hmmm.

Semi-obscure reference to this thread: from Better Off Dead - the younger brother gets a book on how to pick up trashy women. And it works!!

This may explain your skiing...you're not supposed to pull your pants up over your head.

I can see a Smiling Bob Enzyte commercial dealing with this problem coming soon. Something about Ski Instructor Bob knocking over a whole row of ski school bunnies lined up on the slope.

Just be careful what you tie the scarf onto. If you ski in the trees, it might get caught on something.

At the risk of asking a serious question in a trolltastic thread: Any women care to comment on if this is true? (any women who hazarded a click on this thread?) I know I think women who ski better than me are smoking hot, but I don't exactly discriminate against the ones who can't.

I mean, I've learned* how to do various activities on dates, should I have stuck to what I knew I was better at?

*hah! i'll try anything, doesn't mean I'll be any good at it.

Its true You have to ski better than me for me to be attracted to you!
