In connection with the tread started by DB, I think what Lito Tejada-Flores, writes in Chapter 7 of his book, "Breakthrough on the New Skis," has some very useful ideas about powder skiing.

If you read that chapter in connection with MilesB's diagrams of a powder line versus skiing a groomed slope line, it all makes sense, especially when you incorporate what Nolo said about the fact that we ski "IN" powder. It's 3D, and we do it slowly because the nature of powder requires it.
