World Cups on XM/Sirius

I don't know how many of them, but a lot of the races are going to be carried on XM/Sirius. Channel 126.

Very cool.

Ive been recording and watching them on TV....awesome stuff. Seems the footage is a little better this year, I am really getting a sense of the speed in the GS.

Hell of a recovery, and still winning by a clear margin! Hats off!

Is anyone having trouble getting UniversalSportsNetwork to work properly. I get the audio fine, but the visual is stop & go. Anyone else, or is my connection speed just to slow? I have done everything I can following their Help suggestions, reloaded Windows media player11 to make sure I was up to date as they suggested. I am no computer whiz, so any suggestions in laymans terms are appreciated.

Heck of a race as far as I could tell. I could view the first few runs, but not the most important one. Very frustrating.

Thanks,
JF

Might be your bandwidth. Did you update your browser to the latest version? I watched with Firefox on a PC. Not having viewed since the buyout I had to update to the newest version of Firefox and flash player. Worked ok after that. Only thing is on archived stuff I couldn't right click, get the URL of the feed and use a better viewer. No scrub, start, stop, pause, etc on the flash player. Maybe just because the site is still in beta. The video quality is noticeably better than last year.

Thanks, yes I think it's the bandwidth. I am calling my satelite provider monday to whine. I am viewing on Internet Explorer. Later on I must have had a better signal & was able to watch the second run without too many interuptions. I also disabled the pop-up blocker.

What a great race. I wish they would make it easier to watch without knowing the outcome ahead of time. I already inadvertantly got some info on the men's race. Should be entertaining!

Are you able to get the URL on the current races? I think it would solve my problem if I could download it to WindowsPlayer & watch it on there.

Nope - Can't do that either. Hope they fix it... Just enjoy what I can in the meantime.

What was up with skiers going the wrong way out of the hairpin? Was the outside pole of the second gate set out of line, so they thought it was the next gate? I cant believe it was a visibility issue.

too bad about Sarah Schleper. She didnt even get points, since her time was more than 8% above the winning time.
