Demo Days (Northeast) with Head skis???

Anyone know of any Demo Days in the East that have Head as one of the brands? Would love to try the 82's or 88's as a compliment to my Atomic Izor 9.7 and its 72mm waist. I use the Atomics as my all-mountain ski but have been going out west more and more each year....scheduled twice in 2009. I would love to get a wider ski to compliment the Atomics.

I have been to a couple of demo days the past two years (Elk, Camelback) and Head was not there.

Thanks!

The demo center/repair shop up at Jay typically carries most of the new Head skis. You'll have to pay to try 'em, but it's an option.

Sunday River Has a demo day over Thanksgiving weekend. Head has been there every year I've been there. Might want to call ahead though, just to make sure.

I believe Bristol Mtn. in New York has a big demo center with most major brands.

This is true Mac, but now that no shops in Bethel carry Head (Sunday River Sports dropped them last year), I wonder if they will continue to come. I hope they do. There are a number of Head Skis I hope to try this year.

Any new updates on any demo days in the northeast? Vermont would be best for me.

Any thought on how to find these event listings? I've tried head.com and a few of the ski areas but no luck.

Thanks.

I don't know how things work in your region, but here's how things go in the northern Rockies. My mountain-states area rep for Head will coordinate with the local shop that deals Heads to schedule an on-hill demo day. The area rep then lets me know which day it's going to be and I try to encourage skiers to show up for the demos.

So, I would suggest that you find out which shop(s) at or near your preferred ski area are the Head dealers. Then call the shop and ask for either the hardgoods manager or the rental/demo shop manager. Tell them you're interested in demoing Heads and see if they have a demo day scheduled or could notify you when they do.

If you can't get anywhere that way, ask the shop who their area rep is for Head and then you can either call or email the rep directly.

Good luck. It's worth the effort.

I dunno about demo days, but the on-snow demo shop at Stowe has Head skis.

You just missed it . Head was at Hunter last weekend. I like the Supershape Magnum enough to order them when I got home.

The HEAD mobile was at Stowe last weekend with all their newest goodies.

Wow. 7 year bump for something happening in March, perhaps, by someone who seems to be connected to either the event or the resort. Nice.
