Pay it forward (Phil Rocks)

Thread Starter
In a previous thread I asked for someone to sell me some rock skis. There were several Bears out there who shot me great deals. I ended up buying a pair of Titan 9‘s from Phil for a ridiculously low price. After receiving the skis I was channel surfing and came across the movie “Pay it Forward”. Ok, it is a dopey show, but it got me to thinking.

There was something that I needed (rock skis) and something Phil had lying around that was of very little use to him (my new rock skis). I wondered if there was something I had laying around that could be of use to someone else. I then remembered that I received a Brand New HighGear Alterra Altimeter watch as a gift a few months back. It was a great gift but I do not wear watches with that type of band, and I do not wear watches when I ski. I have never worn the watch.

This watch sells for $170 new. Here is a link to Campmor where it is on sale for $139:

There is surely someone out there who has wanted a watch like this, but does not have the funds. I will let it go for $60 shipped (contiguous US only). I can’t find the original box, but have the manual and paperwork.

I don’t need the money for this, so will not be offended if nobody wants it. If this sells, it would be great if someone else puts up an item that they no longer need, but may be of value to someone else. Tis the holiday season. It would be interesting if this thread lasted through the new year.

This is the color and style of watch.

I don't have a need for the watch, but love the spirit of the thread. Kudos.

I own the same watch -- works great, and this is a great price for somebody looking for an altimeter watch!

Yeah, but neither one guarantees that a Bear is getting an unneeded piece of equipment.

You're missing the point of pay it forward.

Scott, I' wish I could take the boots off your hands but I just don't have an outlet for them.
Nice Up tho!

I just thought paying it forward would mean handing it over free.

Tecnica Icon TNT Carbon boots

Since we're being generous, I'm moving this here from it's previous for sale listing:
Tecnica Icon TNT Carbon boots:
I bought these from someone on Epic who said that the BSL was 315mm, but they are actually 304mm. Shell size is 26/26.5. Shells do not have many scrathches and those it has are hard to see because of the orange color. I pulled the liners out and they look pretty good so I'm not sure how many days are on these or what year they are.
Just pay the actual shipping charges from MA and they are yours.
Feel free to PM me for a shipping estimate or calculate it yourself from zip code 01886.

On the DVD's, i am shipping them at no cost to Qucikk9, when he's done, he's shipping them to Scotskier! RR, this is how it works.....

I remember when you posted these (thanks for looking up which Icon they were, by the way, when I inquired). They aren't quite the boot I was looking for, but if you're offering such an awesome deal, then I can almost definitely get some use out of them. I'll be working at a resort for the winter, so the boots will see a bit of action.

I'm up in Vermont (05408), but I might be down in Nashua, NH this weekend, and could potentially swing by (Westford, right?) with cash for a 12-pack in lieu of shipping cost. Otherwise, let me know how much it is to ship, and I'll send you some legal US currency.

Now the real issue: what do I have that I can give away in the "Pay It Forward: Socialist Utopia" thread?

Nashua would be a good meeting place. Check your pm's and we can work this one out.

Pay it Forward....

Perhaps 'Pay it Forward' should be made into its very own Bear forum, for the convenience of multiple threads?

Well now, this has turned around into something quite noble....good going fellas

I'll join in. I have a pair of Marker Eclipse goggles that I've had listed for sale. Pretty nice goggle, in what they call a "metal black" frame color. Amber double lens. The stap is real small black and gray checks. good look. New, in the box, never used.

My daughter got them for free. Bib draw, or some other race event.

If somebody needs a pair of goggles, and can use these, I'll pass them on for the shipping. $10. PayPal is fine.
Mukeski,

I'll take the goggle is there available. Need a pair for my 13 year old daughter.

I'll do some looking around when I'm up in VT next to see what we have for a pay it forward option!

Great idea.
Great, glad to see them go to a good kid. I'll PM you.
