Hmmm...you're in Vancouver, 2 hours from WHISTLER. And it looks like that a couple weeks before opening day? That picture is what skiing 2 hours from my house looks like in the middle of the season. Wait, actually, it's not that good.

So, no, I don't think I can help.

Sorry, I'm just bitter and jealous.

Hey, it's Whistler after all. What you can't see, can't hurt you

We're off to a bit of a slow start here too, but at least we have sun. Down the highway at Lake Louise, they have the snow guns going on the 'Ribbon of Death', and are getting ready to host the first World Cup speed events of the season in a couple of weeks.

Looks like a decent opening weekend at Sunshine.

Dude: you're in great shape.

Seriously, you can get a 3-foot dump at Whistler in 24 hours.

(North Van is my home town and I used to live at Whistler.)

Here in CO that rarely happens.

If I was you, I'd be sharpening my edges, waxing my bases, and drinking a couple of Labatt Blues (unless it's Friday, in which case, go for 6)

Conditions in Whistler change really fast. Don't lose hope skeezy!

I've sent my skis in to the shop to get the base ground and structured, because I put on way more time on my skis than my siblings or parents. I'm prepping my tuning gear for the rest of the family's skis - I'm going to do it myself this year, instead of having the shop do it.

I finish finals on Dec 10. I'm planning to be up there on the 14th or 15th, after the opening of the Peak2Peak Gondola - want to go up, skeezer?

My mountain has about 1 inch of snow on the top half, nothing below that, and they haven't started making snow yet.

Still gonna be a little while for me....

Solitude opening day yesterday was a sheet of ice, 1/4" - 1/2" thick. Now it's gonna get up into the 50s on the moutains. Are the Wasatch areas even going to be open by next weekend?

Red Lodge MT

Our opener is 2 weeks away. Things are looking pretty good-the 4 foot dump in Oct gave a good base. My neighbor said that he was up there and a lot of the runs had been skied and packed down all ready, including Cole Creek

check out the cam-looks like good coverage
