Hi I am a new member as of today and am really impressed with the site. I have only been skiing for a couple of years have been totally obsessed from the start. The bad news is that I have fallen in love with a sport that I cant really afford but have spent every dollar and vacation day to this goal. Anyway, my family planned a trip to Vail for the Thanksgiving holiday, the only bad news is that my brother broke his hand and cant ski, and another member of the family is not terribly enthusiastic about the sport. I know Vail has the adventure ridge with tubing and what not but that is not open until later in the season. I am not thrilled with the idea of promoting snowmobiling either and am looking for any suggestions for any non cheezy winter activities that are within driving distance or closer. They are young teenagers, any suggestions?
