Doug Lewis describes the course, with computer graphics simulating the line.

There is already a post started on here about this same article. I downloaded the game a few days ago. I've never played video games before, but I am addicted to this one.

Thanks a bunch, 4ster. I was curious about the game based on your post so I downloaded it this morning. Now *I'M* addicted.

It's a blast.

I suck!!!!

I played it a few minutes ago on the Wengen course with my partner looking over my shoulder. He's raced that course several times, so it was pretty fun listening to him telling me about the turns and the jumps.

He was pretty impressed with the game and asked me to send him the link.

I almost crashed into the edge of the train tunnel. Just like in "Downhill Racer".

Oh yeah, the crashes are brutal! Keep practicing, I've got the Wengen course down to about 2:42 I think. The others I'm getting close to breaking the 2 minute mark. It took many tries to figure out the Stielhang on the Kitzbuhel run. There are a lot of options. I have mostly been racing in the Classic mode, but am starting to play around with customizing the ski performance. Bormio is my favorite, with some steep fast turns.

This seems like it would be a great simulation/tool for a racer to learn the course.

Have fun,

JF

Couple weeks out still, but...

Interestingly enough the NYT article and game simulation of the course are still available at that link in the first post.

And there's this. And this.
