175 Atomic Tour Guide Super Light
w/ Voile Cable Telemark bindings.
used for backcountry touring on days when it's more hiking than sliding. Winter camping, XCish stuff.170 Karhu Jak Team Edition
. Got 'em tele, switched to alpine last season and used 'em on deep days at Jay. They're gonna get freerides this year and become the back/slack country ski. I decided they're too short for everyday inbounds stuff.172 Atomic Tweak
. Twintip beater rock ski. Early/late season stupidity, fun in the bumps. Tons of core shots. Probably get a few more next weekend.
162 Rossignol Z9 (red & black ones)
For the firm, icy groomer days. Function OK in the trees & bumps. They're 74 underfoot with a 13 m radius. If tuned correctly they hold great on the firmest EC ice, but when I replace them I'll probably get a narrower SL specific ski. They've got a couple more good years in them tho.183 PM Gear BRO's
These should be arriving this month, and I'm psyched! They will replace the Jak's as my deep snow ski with a much needed increase in length, and honestly I'll probably be on them most of my days this season.
Next year I might look into getting a GS ski. I have never raced, but want some more options for hard snow skiing. I like to ski fast, so I think I'd like playing around on some GS boards. For now though, it's the Z9's when everything is frozen, the Tweaks early season and on bump days, and the BROS every other day. Hopefully I can make the freeride's happen soon for the Jaks so I can quit having to bootpack out to B.J.
